No shoes, no problem

I took this on a trip to Hopetown, in the Abacos. We got to Marsh Harbor, Abaco, on a plane that was so small I could adjust the pilot’s cap. Then we took a public ferry to the tiny island of Elbow Cay, and charming little Hopetown. We were exploring the small island in a four person golf cart and came across this rugged little filling spot, On Da Beach. One thing I like about this picture is the path to the ocean. I like paths, roads and bridges that go up into the horizon and imply something grand is on the other side.. you can’t see it, but you know as soon as you reach the top, in one dramatic moment it will be all around you. My son and nephew ran ahead of me to race for the view, and it didn’t disappoint. The caribbean’s clear blue water with close-by reefs was stunning.
